CORONADO, Calif. — A law enforcement checkpoint on the island side of the San Diego-Coronado Bridge resulted in the arrests of 11 suspected drunken drivers and 28 vehicles being impounded, police said Sunday.

DUI roadblock produces two arrests (The Star Press)

MUNCIE — A state police sobriety checkpoint on South Walnut Street late Friday produced two arrests. Mary Jeffris, 53, Muncie, was jailed on a preliminary charge of misdemeanor drunken driving, and Richard Kendall, 40, Muncie, was jailed on a preliminary charge of being a habitual traffic violator.

"Roving" police checkpoint catches DUI and unlicensed drivers (The Bakersfield Californian)
